2 kindness gifts for veteranI have a cousin who was in the military, and served for the country for years. I don’t know what rank she is now, but I really appreciate what my cousin has done for this country. We used to spend a lot of time together when I was younger, but now she lives many states away from me. So what I think would be a great idea is to send her something completely unexpected in the mail.

I think everyone deserves to be thanked and appreciated for the hard work they put into whatever it is they do. Sometimes though, people don’t realize how much they’re appreciated. So giving out kindness gifts is a great way to make sure they know. I got my cousin a little card that says how much I appreciate her service to the country.

While I can’t physically see her reaction to the card, I’m certain it will make her face light up with a smile. I don’t know if she’s ever gotten something like this before, but I think things like this are important to send to people. Even something as simple as a kindness card can really brighten up someone’s day for the better.

A Classic and Fun Wooden Labyrinth Game

1 wooden labyrinth gameI know there are always new board games and other sorts of games that are constantly coming out, but you can’t go wrong with the classics. The ones that keep coming out are often overly complicated, and that can make them really confusing. Some of the simplest games can be the most fun, or even the most challenging. Nonetheless, they are always the most memorable.

Take a wooden labyrinth game, for example. You roll metal beads through the maze by tilting the wooden game itself. It takes a lot of hand-eye coordination and skill to maneuver the metal beads through the maze. This sort of game is something I’ve seen in the past, and I actually used to have one when I was a child. It just makes me happy to see such classic games coming back into the light again.

I actually think I’ll surprise my kid with this nifty wooden labyrinth game. Since I enjoy the game, I’m sure my kid will, too. It’s a handcrafted piece that’s really special. I’m certain my kid will have some fun with it. Maybe we can play against each other for fun to see who can get through the labyrinth the fastest.

guatemalan huipil 7-19-16When I was recently looking for a unique gift that I could give to my kids I decided that it might be a good idea to get them something fair trade so that I would be able to teach them a bit about supporting artists in other countries. I decided to look at a lot of different fair trade gifts so that I would be able to pick something that was absolutely perfect.

I was really impressed with the different types of items that I was able to find. I considered beaded animals, different types of jewelry, and even some key chains that were all amazing items that I am sure that my children would have loved. In the end, I decided to purchase Guatemalan Huipil coin purses for them instead of buying any of these other items.

I chose these because of their intricate designs and the way that these just jumped out at me. I know that these beautiful coin purses are something that my children will always cherish as a unique gift. They will also be able to use these to carry their coins in so that they can take their money to the store when they want to buy candy.
